District 9 units were disptached to a motor vehicle accident at Milemarker 131 North on the Garden State Parkway. Arriving units did not find the accident at the reported milemarker, so they continued to check the area. 9-3-3 was the first to find the correct location, which was Milemarker 134.4 Southbound. Upon arrival, Deputy Chief Bennett reported a one car motor vehicle accident, with the vehicle on its roof and the driver severly injured inside. Crews immediately began to stabilize the vehicle and render first aid to the driver. The driver was quickly removed from the overturned vehicle and turned over to Colonia EMS. Responding crews also checked the heavily wooded area adjacent to the accident to ensure that no other occupants of the vehicle were ejected.
