The Board of Fire Commissioners have donated retired Engine 9-2, a 1997 Sutphen pumper, and miscellaneous firefighting equipment that was removed from service to the Almeria Volunteer Fire Department in Troy, Alabama. The Almeria VFD covers approximately 90 square miles in rural Bullock County, and operates on a limited limited budget. Due to their financial situation, the Almeria VFD is unable to purchase necessary apparatus and firefighting equipment. The donation of Engine 9-2 will allow the Almeria VFD to replace a 1969 pumper.

Engine 9-2 will be replaced by a 2015 Seagrave 2000 GPM pumper.
