Districts 9 and 11 were dispatched to Bedford Avenue on a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, Chief Geary reported a working fire with heavy smoke coming from the structure and requested a full first alarm. First due Engine 9-2 stretched an 1 3/4" handline through the front door and quickly extinguished the fire while Ladder 11-2-1 went to the roof. No injuries were reported.
