During a thunderstorm, District 9 was dispatched to a report of smoke coming from a house on Worth Street. Upon arrival, Chief Bennett reported smoke showing and requested a full first alarm assignment for a working fire. The crew from Squad 9-6 stretched a handline and quickly extinguished the fire in the kitchen and dining room. No one was home at the time of the fire.
