Districts 9 and 11 were dispatched at 6:20 AM to Aspen Manor Building 8 for a report of smoke in the building. Upon arrival, Chief Bennett reported a working fire in the rear of the building. First arriving crews stretched hand lines and quickly extinguished a fire that was burning in the utility closets on the first through third floor balconies. The roof was laddered to ensure fire had not gotten into the attic. No injuries were reported.
