Heavy rains started around 8:30 pm on the 1st and continued into the early morning hours of the 2nd. During that time there was widespread flooding throughout the fire district. In a four and one half hour period, your firefighters responded to over 30 calls for help and removed 33 people from vehicles caught in floodwaters and 10 people from the 2nd floor of an office building which had approximately 5 feet of water on the first floor.
