District 9 firefighters were dispatched to a multivehicle accident near mile marker 131 on the Garden State Parkway. Upon arrival Deputy Chief 9-0-2 found multiple damaged vehicles across the roadway. Engines 9-2 and 9-5 blocked the left 3 southbound lanes and Squad 9-6 arrived to assist on the northbound side. D9 Firefighter / EMTs assisted EMS with treating the multiple patients on scene and then assisted the NJ State Police with traffic control until the vehicles were removed from the roadway.
